The Label Says It All
From the original Lawrence H. Conklin label:
CERUSSITE
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
“Superb, small sharp sixlings are generously deposited on a matrix of mottramite. A rare and lovely specimen.”
Ex Lawrence H. Conklin
From Rock to Wearable Art
Viewed closely, the sharp cerussite sixlings resolve into remarkable flower-like forms unlike anything I have encountered in another specimen.
This scarf was created from my original photograph of the specimen, transforming its crystalline flowers into a flowing piece of wearable art while preserving the mineral’s original color.
About the Scarf
This 16 × 72-inch scarf is available in five fabrics, each giving the mineral image a different character:
• Silk Habotai — exceptionally light and airy, with excellent print visibility on both sides
• Silk Charmeuse — lustrous, luxurious, and fluidly draped
• Polychiffon — light and semi-transparent with a smooth, low-lustre surface
• Satin Charmeuse — a lustrous polyester alternative with a silk-like appearance
• Matte Crepe — soft and flowing with an understated matte finish
Each scarf is individually printed, hand-cut, and sewn in Montreal, Canada. Care requirements vary with the selected fabric.
