This design begins with my photograph of a pretty ordinary specimen of Calcite from Florida, but still made a nice pattern. Not many minerals in Florida. :). By reflecting and repeating its crystal forms, I gave the image a new symmetry. Across the design, the mineral’s colors and intricate details form a pattern that still reveals the remarkable rock where it began.
